First finish for 2009 (161)

It's been a bit of a rush, but I've finished the quillow for my niece's birthday on the 10th. I've used Moda's Urban Chicks range. I've not got a picture of the complete quilt because it's so gloomy here that I just can't get a photograph that doesn't look completely washed out and most unattractive, but the picture of the quilt folded into its pocket gives you a very good idea of what it looks like - I've used a combination of broken dishes blocks, rail fence and plain blocks.

And here's the card I've made

- I had great fun rootling about in all my piled up boxes and baskets which have been moved into the spare bedroom whilst we decorate, I can't find anything easily.

I"m sure it'll be well loved -- both the card and quilt look great. I'd love to see the whole quilt at some point if the sun would cooperate :-)

Hey Amanda! Wow! What great colours in your quillow - I'm sure your niece will love it! And I've popped you on the list as having one finish in our challenge - well done! Had a giggle at your wallpapering escapades on the previous post, too!! That's why we PAINT!! :0) Still off the air, so catching up with people via blog comments only - very frustrating!! Hope you're having a great day! Bear Hugs! KRIS

The card is beautiful and I love the quillow. I have a friend who made a couple for us decades ago and we used it until it ripped in several places. I kept patching it and trying my best to keep it together. It's just the most convenient, wonderful thing to have in your living room or anywhere. I had friends who would come and visit and know to just open it up and use it in winter because our house was a bit cool. I love your quillow!

You are having a great start to new year,
Take care, oh i tagged you,

Here are the rules to play the game:

1. When you are tagged you are asked to list eight random facts about yourself and post them on your blog for visitors to enjoy. This is gonna be fun!
2. Tag eight of your blogging friends and leave them a comment that they have been tagged and to join in the fun if they have the opportunity. (If not, that's okay. They can still enjoy the random facts everyone shares:) Be sure to list a link to your eight friends in your posting.

Kids love the quilts that fold into a pocket. Good choice of fabrics.
I didn't know that you make cards. I have made notecards before but nothing like you have done.
