Back in the saddle

My wrist has been out of plaster for three weeks now, but I'm only just reaching the point where I can type with two hands, though only for a short time as it is still stiff and painful and aches after a short while. It's not healed as well as I would have liked and there's still a possibility that I may have to have an operation. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that the next few weeks will see a marked improvement.

Having spent eight weeks unable to sew I'm really pleased to be getting back to it. My left hand has twisted around enough now that I can use the sewing machine, though using my rotary cutter is still painful and I don't have enough strength to hold the ruler firm. Luckily, I have several tops that need quilting so I'll be getting on with those, as well as catching up with a couple of Sugar Club BOMs.

I've thoroughly enjoyed keeping up with the blogs I read, though I got rather jealous sometimes!

This little quilt is something I finished just before I broke my wrist.

We had been doing some fabric weaving at the City & Guilds course, and I decided to experiment with a circular weaving. I liked the look of it so much that I continued and completed it and gave it to Christopher as a Valentine's gift.

Over the last week I've finished a quilt top that I started several months ago and hope to quilt it over the next few days. So I should be able to share that then.
