Bed Base Cover (163)

I've just finished making a cover for the divan bed base that is remaining in my new sewing and craft room. We've found a home for the mattress, but aren't able to move the base out, so it will be stored on its side - the top will make a useful shelf. I've incorporated the Quilter's Blessing blocks from Capricorn. I chose the colours because I wanted to use an old duvet cover of my mother's for the top and back. The first picture shows the colours better, the second looks very washed out.

Do you think this will count as an extra finish for the One Project a Month Challenge?

How wonderful - what a great way to use the quilters blessings blocks. Very clever. Also like the quillow. Choice of fabrics is very nice - I am sure your niece will adore it. I am still looking for 3 'pay it forward' buddies. Will let you know when I get them.

Hi Amanda, just been catching up on your blog, the new sewing room looks delightful, I can't wait to see some pics. What a good idea for the mattress... something that would normally be a pain looks smart and is useful, very natty. It is a sewing project so I think I would count it as a part of the 1P@M challenge Happy stitching.

How clever your work is! Yes, it would definitely count as a finish.
I just popped in for the Pay it forward sign up as I wanted to do it but you must have everyone on your list.
I enjoyed my visit. My husband is going to paint our living room/dining room this winter...Ugh! I hate the smell of paint, but love the result.

Well done Amanda! It definitely counts as a finish and I've popped it on my spreadsheet! Your sewing room is MUCH neater than mine! I'm sure there's a day bed and floor in there somewhere, but neither have been spotted for some time! Tee! Hee! Hee! Happy stitching in your newly organised room! Bear Hugs! KRIS
