I wrote on that first post that it seemed like a fun way to share my quilting projects and, boy, was I right. I've met so many people from around the world and shared in their projects too. There has been so much inspiration from other people that I whenever I've entered give-aways asking me to list my favourite quilting tools I've had no hesitation in putting my computer at the top of the list.
This is the photograph I showed on my first blog, the very first quilt I made. It was a small lap quilt for my mother-in-law who had recently had an operation. Sadly, my mother-in-law has since died, but the quilt is still regularly used by my father-in-law. And in a strange coincidence, the quilt I'm working on at the moment is another lap quilt, this time for my mother-in-law's sister, who is also having an operation this week.
This is a scrap quilt, made for the Rainbow Scrap Challenge and was pretty quick to make. But what is taking me so much more time than that first quilt is the quilting. That was quilted in the ditch and pretty sparsely, but this time I'm quilting an all over design which is taking much longer.
I now have 53 followers, for which I'm very grateful, though I'm still not too sure what it means! But I'm delighted to have 'met' so many people over the past three years.
I can't have a double anniversary without a give away though can I? Though I've no idea what it's going to be at the moment. So, if you'd like to go into the hat please comment on this post and I'll draw a name on Monday 14th.

Happy Anniversary!! 400 posts--that is just amazing to me. I'll soon be at 140. I love the green back yard. If you read my blog you know I'm sick of the color white in my back yard. I really enjoy seeing everyone's quilts and sharing in the creative and generous spirit of quilters in blog land. Thank you for blogging.
400 posts - that is a lot! Happy Anniversary.
You sew so much "love" in your quilts that I am sure your mother-in-law's sister will enjoy it.
Have a great weekend!
Happy blogoversary! I don't know how you make time to blog when you're always so busy quilting your lovely designs. Here's to the next three years:-)
Congratulations! 400 hundred posts and three years! I think I started around when you did. I looked back at your blog and saw that I first started commenting in April of your first year. I think we bonded over the orange/strawberry crush quilt we were both doing at the time. My quilt was a disaster but I'm glad that I did it as it led me to such a nice blog friendship! Your quilting on this most recent quilt is stunning. Thanks for sharing your journey on becoming such a talented quilted with us!
I hadn't thought about the computer being a favorite quilting tool but you are so right. Not only do we use it to create design with programs like Electric Quilt, but we get so much inspiration from our fellow bloggers. We are able to shop for fabrics and tools online.
I am happy to have met you via blogging. Happy 400th!
Congratulations! 3 years!! I didn't know what a blog WAS 3 years ago, but I'm really glad I know now!
Congratulations!! Amanda, on completing 400 posts which is huge. Happy anniversary too... my best wishes to you... do continue posting and sewing like this. Love your blog.
Regards,
Preeta
Congratulations on your anniversaries. Your green quilt is lovely and I'm sure it will be treasured.
Happy Anniversary! Wow! I wish I was on my blog that long. Congrats on both milestones and thanks for all the wonderful posts and pictures.
Happy 400th post anniversary, Amanda! That was such a beautiful quilt. It really does make such a lovely gift because it becomes an heirloom.
Congratulations on 400 posts, I think I've been with you since the beginning almost. The quilting on your Rainbow Scrap Challenge quilt is really impressive. You've come a long way baby (from an old commercial).
Wow, 400 posts in three years! CONGRATULATIONS!!! In May I will be blogging for three years too, with 'only' a bit more than 200 posts. I think you were one of the first ones I 'met'.
What a coincidence between the first quilt and the one you are working on now. Great quilting! You really have it 'under the knee' as we say in the Netherlands, meaning you have really learned how to do it very well!
I follow you on my blogroll, so that makes at least one more follower (o:
Have a lovely weekend.
Amanda your machine quilting is getting better. You are a braver woman than I am. I'd be just a top maker if I didn't have the longarm. Happy Anniversary.

So many of your thoughts and feelings are mutual! You've shared so much wisdom. Not to mention, the England-tours have been amazing! This 21st century penpal system is wonderful.
Congratulations on your blogiversary! It's so interesting to see the difference in our quilting projects over time. I love that quilt you are making in greens!
Congratulations on your anniversaries. What a lovely juxtaposition of quilts. Your most recent quilting is simply beautiful. I agree with you wholeheartedly about the fun and inspiration to be found in blogging.
