Trumpet fanfare please!

My Angels Story Quilt is finished, labelled and hung. I actually finished it last week, but have been waiting for Christopher's help to get it hung. This has been a long term project, over the last year, and I'm delighted to have got it finished. It's quite girly, but I like it a lot. This will be hung at the church for our festival in May, but I'm not sure yet whether I will have it for sale or not. Christopher thinks not. I can't imagine that anyone would want to buy it at the price I would have to put on it anyway, so it's probably safe either way.

I'm just about to start quilting Tail Feathers, a BOM that I've just finished. That's about the same size, and I have no idea where I'm going to put it. I think I'll just have to rotate it with An Angels Story.

The trumpet should shound sound loud and clear for this accomplishment...absolutely wonderful...the work was many hours and so much detail - but certainly paid off...I agree to not sell it...enjoy it!

Congratulations - what an accomplishment! It is such a sweet pattern and I loved the fabrics you've used. Every so often we need to make something girly. I say don't sell it - you made the other quilts to sell for your church raffle. Keep this one. My favorite block - angel flying school - so cute.

This is a delightful quilt!
I took a quilt to a family reunion where they have an auction of odds and ends to help pay for the building rental, paper plates, etc. It was twin size. I thought that it would be lucky if someone bid even enough to pay for the cost of what I had in the quilt. It sold for way more money than I could have imagined. So you never know.

So beautiful! No, you can't sell it; but certainly show it off! A huge achievement for you, this is a big quilt and has alot of work in it. Well Done!

It's beautiful, surely you wouldn't want to sell it. Christopher is right, for the amount of fabric and time you have put into it you would it should be worth hundreds of pounds.

Fantastic!!! What a lot of work and what a lot of fun! I hope you get to keep this! You're right. No matter what price you put on it it wouldn't be enough.

Amanda that is just beautiful and will look so neat wherever you hang it. I agree with your hubby, no sale!! So much work and you can look at it and enjoy it all the time. Thanks for the note and yes I enjoyed a couple hours in the quilt closet yesterday and I am working on making it more functionial. I was so used to having a very large room where every thing fit in our home in Ohio and since downsizing to our home in Florida it has been a chore or maybe I just made it that way. I love your blog and thanks for being a friend. Hugs, Marie

Congratulations! Love your fabric choices, very pretty. Makes me want to get mine out of the quilt top pile and get it finished after maybe five years of waiting.

A truly beautiful work of art. I know that it must have been hours and hours of hand work, and hours and hours on the piecing. I think you have a masterpiece, I'm still waiting on mine, but since I like quick and easy, I think it's going to be a long wait, lol. Congratulations, Amanda.

This is darling! No, no, no, don't sell it. At least not until you've had several years to enjoy it. :>} I'm so glad you showed us the individual blocks. I love each one!
