We were blessed with a glorious, early spring day yesterday; blue skies and sunshine, but cold enough to still need a coat and gloves. We decided to visit Sherborne Garden again and see the spring flowers. Unfortunately, spring is much later this year because of the long, hard winter, and there was narry a daffodil to be seen. The snowdrops were lovely, however, and there were some crocuses, sweet violets and helibores as well as some early blossom. I hope you enjoy the slideshow of our visit.

Tomorrow we are off in our camper van for a few days. We are taking it to a site near to London, so that on Wednesday we can go to the preview of the new Quilt Exhibition at the Victoria and Albert Museum. I'm really looking forward to it, and to buying some of the special edition reproduction fabric that they have had made up especially for the exhibition. I'll try and get some photographs to show you when we get back.

Enjoyed seeing the flowers and bushes at that garden. What kind of bush was that with the long pods still hanging on it? Seeing the flowers in bloom makes me know spring is on the way ...we do have jonquils in bloom in our yard ...but still they are 3 to 4 weeks behind from last year....some of our flower beds and the grass has really taken a beating from all the ice and snow this past winter gave us.
Have a fun time on your trip...enjoy the quilt show.
Lovely pictures, the purple crocuses and the snowdrops look so pretty. Special edition fabric! How exciting - I'm looking forward to see what you purchase.
This was so much fun to see, Amanda. Thank you very much for the gorgeous photos.
