Signs of spring

This morning we visited a local garden, Sherborne Garden, which was open for visitors to see the snowdrops and hellebores. It was open under the National Gardens Scheme, whereby private gardens are opened to the public for a few days each year in order to raise money for charity. Unfortunately, things are delayed this year because of the extremely cold weath
er we've been having, so many of the snowdrops are still in bud and few of the hellebores had flowered. On the plus side, it was a gloriously sunny morning, and the signs are there that spring is on the way. The gardens are open again on 14th March, for the daffodils, so we will definitely visit again.

I'm still playing with Flickr, as I haven't yet found a way of clicking on the photographs so that you can see a larger version.

Oh I wish I wish I wish. No sign of any snowdrops - not one - but the daffs are pushing their heads up.

I've had enough of living in France. Think I might come back in live in the West Country!

Glad you had a sunny morning and the pictures really give me a feeling of Spring. It has been snowing lightly here the whole day. We have not seen any sun over the past few days.
Have a lovely week!

Spring??? Gosh, I wish! We easily have another 1-2 months before we see our first bud nearing bloom.
Happy Sunday

Ooooh! Snowdrops and crocus and catkins oh my!
Spring has sprung, the grass has riz, and all that...no such luck here, I could smell it on Saturday but the temperature is back down to freezing and sleet again.
Imagine you selling smocked frocks to a posh shop! I often though it should be a money spinner but never managed to do it myself.

Lovely pictures, really like the snowdrops and the pussy willow one. A few more weeks and spring will be here - I just keep saying that to myself.

Isn't it amazing how the seasons have been so extreme this year!! Our Summer, like your Winter ... seems to be lasting for AGES!! It'll be Autumn here in a couple of weeks and it still feels like the middle of Summer!! Love the snowdrop piccies ... I haven't seen a snowdrop for years :o).
Hugs,
Joy :o)

Love the beautiful photo mosaic. Spring can't be far off if you are already counting on the daffodils.

I'm so happy for you that spring is starting around the bend. It's getting warmer over here, too.
