A great weekend

Number Two Son and his partner came for a visit this weekend. They didn't arrive until quite late on Friday evening, but we managed to pack a fair bit in.

On Saturday we went to Bath, and they went to the Roman Baths whilst we wandered around the shops. I actually managed to steel myself and went in to Marks and Spencer (it's a huge one and very busy on a Saturday) where I bought myself a pair of black trousers.

On Sunday we went to Longleat Safari Park. Sadly the monkey jungle was closed but we had fun looking at all of the other animals. After that Alexander and his partner went back to Brighton and we returned home.

I took loads of pictures of the animals, but sadly my batteries died before we went into the Butterfly House and before I had a tarantula sitting on my hand! These are the best of the photographs.

The Safari Park looks quite interesting...everything looks so green and lush.

Too bad about the batteries taking a nose dive and unable to capture more pictures.

Question: Marks and Spencer - a large department store I suppose.

It must be the week of black trousers as I bought myself a pair aswell.
I've never got round to going to Longleat. I've seen it enough times on the TV though.
a tarantula on your hand, now that's cool. I don't think Mal would go for it though as he's petrified of them

Love and hugs Gina xxx

I know tarantulas are harmless but I wouldn't want one sitting on me anywhere. Brave you!

Is that a baby giraffe? So cute. Never never would I come that close to a tarantula. You get the prize for the bravest quilter award! Did the men in your family also do this?

A safari park? Wow! That sounds like a lot of fun. I haven't been to a zoo in such a long time. The Honolulu Zoo is not much when compared to the zoos in Chicago. I'll have to make it a point to go when we return there in spring.

I'm glad you found a pair of trousers that fit. I have the hardest time finding pants and shorts that fit well.

Great photos of the safari park. I love how "big cats" have the same poses as expressions as our "little" cats, don't you? Sounds like a lovely trip.
