(144)

This is just a quick post, because I'm tired and ready to drop off! I've been doing quite a bit of hand stitching over the last few days, as part of Mrs Martin's Quilt Shop's Christmas Cyber Stitching (that's quite a mouthful!), so I'll take some photographs soon. On Friday I did nothing as I was sooo tired. And then, in spite of being so tired I didn't sleep a wink on Friday night. Very strange. Last night I slept like a log, didn't wake up once and slept till 8.15 this morning. Unheard of for me to sleep so late. And now, I'm ready to drop.

I did just want to show you this photograph though. We have several azaleas which Christopher brings indoors when they are about to flower. Isn't this one pretty? Such vibrant pink flowers. There's another one almost ready to come in, but we're trying to keep it outside for as long as possible so that there might be a chance of it flowering for Christmas. Sorry, it's not a great photograph. It's been so dull today that I had to use flash, which always drains the colour somewhat.

Have a good week,

The plant is so pretty.
Will be great if you have one in bloom at Christmas...will be a gift in that.

Sorry to hear you are having trouble sleeping. I hope it isn't stress over the house. Your azalea is just beautiful, even with the flash.

Isn't it funny we are miles apart and yet so many things happen the same, I often wake in the middle of the night and can't get back to sleep for hours and hours usually about 1/4 to 6 just before its time to get up and then I could sleep for hours.. no such luck of course... Quite often I wake and I think I will get up and sneak out and sew quietly but then I just lay there and think about doing that instead....
Your fire looks so cosy and how lovely is the azalea, I have a couple in my garden which flower beautifully and help make the garden look spectacular.
By the way thanks for the rain we have had nearly 2 inches over the weekend it has been lovely and I just know you must have sent it hehe LOL ;)

I really need to learn more geography. For instance I'm baffled why you have azaleas blooming outside this time of year. Here mine bloom outside in the spring. I like your little stove - we just bought a cast iron wood stove and it is toasty warm. I love the panel. I'm sure your sons will love them!

Good for you! Drop off when you can. If you can't sleep at night then a quick nap is always a good thing when you can find the time. Azaleas are way beyond my scope of gardening!

Hope you feeling better soon,

I have not yet grown Azaleas before, maybe next year,
Hope they like shade as my garden has lots of shade, hoping council will trim trees down soon.

Take care
