Block 2 and Spring Fever Bingo

I've just finished Block 2 of the Down in the Garden BOM. Lost of work in each block, easily a month's worth of embroidery, but they look so lovely once they're done. This is going to be a really special quilt.

On the new sewing machine front, I've got lots of 'ordinary' sewing that I want to catch up with and then I can devote some time to playing with all of its features, and to taking up the free lessons. But even for ordinary sewing, it sews like a dream, quiet, even stitches, good natured when it comes to bulky seams.

You should head on over the the In Stitches blog (http://the-quilt-shoppe.blogspot.com/) where they're having a Spring Fever Bingo competition, with some wonderful prizes. I'd show the logo here, only I can't seem to get it to upload to Blogger.

I like how there are little embroideries in the squares surrounding the main embroidery.

Such a pretty block, with the butterflies and stitcheries, really cheery and springlike. How funny just a moment ago I was reading the spring fever bingo. Looks like fun. Doesn't it make a difference when you have a cooperative, well-behaved machine?

Those butterflies just make that block so special...you certainly have patience to do all that embroidery work...so pretty!

What a pretty block, I didn't even see the little border stitcheries until I zoomed in. I can see what you mean about each block being a lot of work.

Your block is beautiful, and I agree, a work of art.

That block is so pretty, both the embroudery and the fabric colours. I love embroidery on quilts, always have.

Hia Amanda, thanks for popping in.

The new sewing machine looks like it does a wonderful job. Very pretty block.

Your block looks fabulous and I really like the embroidery but where do you find the time to do all that you are doing, just ready about it makes me tired let alone sitting and sewing.
