Stay-at-home feet (132)

These are my stay-at-home feet, in my completely disreputable slippers. The thing is, I have to wear orthotic inserts and they just won't fit into ordinary slippers, so I stick with these old boat shoes. Sadly they're beginning (!) to fall apart, so I need to look for something else.

Yesterday was my mother-in-law's funeral, which went very well but, as is the way of such things, was exhausting. Since I was still far from well it was quite a trial. So today has been a quiet, restful day. Thank goodness I'm on the mend now, but I still don't fancy food at all. Still, as Angela (Soscrappy) said, a stomach bug is good for losing a few pounds!!

I know you are glad the funeral etc is behind you now....my condolences to all.

Too bad about your feet and having to wear supports to help them do better.

Hope your appetite returns...

Haven't visited in a while,so sorry to hear about your MIL. Sounds as if this prospective move may be just the ticket for some distraction for DH.
I just had to replace my house shoes & it took me months to finally settle on a pr. of Sketchers. I too have foot issues!

It was a beautiful day here - warm and sunny - then the temp dropped and now it's cold and drizzly. I wish I had some stay at home shoes on right now!

Great attitude about life. Yes, funerals are exhausting.

If you saw some of the things I wear knocking about my house, you would think your shoes looked like a million dollars! :) Comfort is always my main objective these days.

I am glad your MIL funeral is finished...my deepest sympathies to all. I hope you are able to feel better very soon. Thinking of you and sending much love,
Jo-Anne

Amanda, thanks for taking part in the feet challenge and also for walking a bit of the road with me for the pink ribbon this year. Do you now how many tickets I shall give you for your waliking and cancer donations?

Off to sew the prize now!
