Am I alone in being intensely irritated by Blogger at the moment? My particular irritation is that on blogs that have word recognition to prove that I'm not a robot, there are now two words to type, one of which is almost always illegible, plus punctuation. AAAaaarrrgghh! Is this an arbitrary decision by Blogger or have bloggers actually chosen to have it? Do bloggers know that this is happening on their posts?
Who do I complain to? Any ideas?

Amanda, I'm so with you. I've always hated word verification but now it's worse. It's taking me three attempts to leave a comment! It seems to be on all blogs so I don't think the bloggers are making the decision themselves. Turn it off people!
To date I have not had to do the two word verification thing, so I'm leaving this comment on your blog to see if it happens here!
Okay, you don't have word verification enabled so I still don't know what the new word verification thing looks like!
I tried with no word verification, but half an hour later I had spam. So I had to put it back on again.
Many are complaining. No idea what to do ...
If you know, let us know!
Try to have fun anyway!
I agree with you 100%. There are times I just won't leave a comment because of the hassle of the crazy letters.
I'm shocked that blogger have put in this silly word verification system. I've turned it off on my blog and even that process was a pain as I had to revert to the old blogger interface to find the setting! Crazy! I have had a couple of spam comments, but the spam detection that's built in seems to have caught those... I bet people will leave less comments.. :o(
It has been imposed by Blogger and like many others I have opted to remove word verification. I had to go back to the old Blogger interface, which I prefer anyway, to do it.

expresses the feelings I am reading everywhere.
I have no ideas how to solve the problem but I hate it too!
I have given up on Blogger for that reason, and that it seems to be easier to be hacked. I try to leave comments but found it futile and gave up going to Blogger blogs. I came by way of your blog by accident.
ys, i think that's why i'm going to switch mine so that you don't have to word verify. it's awful. hard to read
OHHH! I SOOO know what you are saying ....You have to be DETERMINED to make a comment...one took me 6 tries!! It got to the point I WOULD NOT give up trying!! I dont understand it at all ! OR how to get rid of it!! If you find out let me know xx
I noticed that too, and I'm not crazy about it. I tried turning off my word verification and I got so much spam coming through I turned it back on.
I agree it is very irrating to have to type those words and I seem to have to do it many times before I get it right. Why can't they be easy to read? I have it on my blog and I don't think I put it there is there a way to get rid of it?
I have had mine off for a lomg time and didn't have anu spam.
I am so glad that you all find this as irritating as I do. I shall trawl the blogs to see if it can be avoided. xx
I have only left a few comments since they changed it last week..........one took me 3 goes to get it right............the old system was better.......but as soon as I turn off comment verification I get spam.......
Very often I have to do it twice as I make an error the first time. Then after a few run-ins with it I just read blogs and stop bothering to comment, which feels ever so rude to me, so then I stop visiting. So yes, it bugs me...better go and check the setting on mine...
I think it is almost unanimous about not liking verification.
