A few small finishes

I have managed to finish a few small projects this month so far, but nothing very much is going on here at the moment, apart from puppy sitting.  These have all been made with some of my orange scraps for this month's Rainbow Scrap Challenge.

Our LQS is having a challenge to make a 12" x 12" quilt with the theme of fruit, so this is my attempt.

Just because!

And finally,

one very happy and rather grubby puppy. She's grown a lot and has really found her feet now and can be quite a monkey out in the garden as she investigates everything. Thankfully she's already responding to 'Come Ruby', which is an essential command as our garden isn't totally puppy proofed. We're getting into a routine now, after the shock of the first few days, and the weather has been really helpful as we've been able to take her outside every hour or so to prevent too many accidents in the house. I think she's beginning to get the idea. I shall be really pleased once she's properly housetrained and we can take our eyes off her sometimes.

I see you added beads to your pumpkin. I like the way the leaves hang over the edge. All makes a very interesting project. Good work!

I love your fruit quilt - gorgeous! The'Ruby'quilts are so cute and Ruby herself is just delightful. They do learn quickly and will try to train their humans if they can get away with it;-)

How very sweet Ruby looks. It must be so happy to have her in your home!

I always enjoy seeing the wonderfully creative things you make, but it does make me feel inadequate. Oh well.

Very nice finishes I especially like the pumpkin one. Your Ruby is really a cutie. Dh has been making comments so I am thinking that some time in the next year we will probably end up with a puppy of some kind also. He says he doesn't want a house dog so if we do get a dog we'll see how long that lasts.

Love the quilting on your pumpkin wall hanging. You have gotten quite proficient at so many patterns. Such a cute way to use up a bit of orange. Ruby is looking adorable, so cute to see her with dirt on her nose.

I've never had to house train an animal. I always wondered how you do it. Your sewing projects are fabulous! It really gets you into the fall mood.

Oh, that puppy in the basket is so precious! Did you design that yourself? I'd love to have the pattern!
