At last...

I've found a use for the camera on my iPad. It's such an unwieldy way to take a photograph that I really couldn't see why anyone would bother. But now I've realised that it's great if you want to email a photograph or put one in a blog post. With an ordinary camera you have to go through the business of uploading the shots then pull them into your document, but by using the iPad camera it's right there and ready to use.

This is a quilt that I made some time ago and then decided to hand quilt, so it's taken ages to complete. It's not absolutely square, but that's par for the course with most of my quilts, I just can't seem to square them up properly. I blame my astigmatism! It's a great autumn hanging don't you think. Eventually it's destined for the dining room but for the time being I'm enjoying it in the lounge. At last, a finish for September.

I haven't tried the camera on my ipad, but you inspire me. Your wallhanging looks great and looks good right where it is, but I'm sure that it will look wonderful in your dining room too.

PS I know that not much of the room is showing, but I used my imagination, lol.

I think it is the quilting process that un-squares a squared quilt. You could try dampening the piece and pinning it to a piece of carpet or your design wall and letting it dry. But I don't think the casual viewer would ever notice what your eyes see.

Oh WOW! Amanda, that is absolutely magnificent. It looks so great on the wall and you can't tell it's not square at all. It looks perfect and I love the color combination. You are just so super talented. I love seeing your work. OK... I'll definitely think about getting that iPad soon now.

Great tip about the iPad picture taking. I have never made a post on my iPad, so I think I should give it a try.
Beautiful quilt.
