Happy Christmas to me

And probably happy birthday to me as well! Some of you may have guessed that this was the present that Christopher bought for me at the quilt show.

I really didn't have any plans to buy one of these, lovely though they are, as they seemed rather expensive. But then we saw it being demonstrated and I wavered a bit; then Christopher offered to buy it and suddenly I could see how useful it would be!

As well as the die that came with it - two and a half inch half square triangles, two and a half inch square and four and a half inch square - I bought a flower die. And today I've made a pile of pinwheel blocks which went together beautifully, far more accurately than my usual blocks.

So, the question is, what other dies should I start saving up for? Have you got a Go cutter? What would you recommend?

I hope you enjoy your GO. I don't use mine as I am more into prim style applique. It was free so I took the opprotunity to try it. Many people are very happy using it and like most any of the dies for pieced blocks.

How exciting! I do enjoy my GO, though I've not used it much recently. My favorite die so far is the small tumbler. I also use the 6.5 inch square quite a bit, though usually with crumb or string blocks to square them up quickly.

I love the tumbler die. I have the larger one and would love to get the smaller one too. I must admit the applecore looks tempting too.

What a wonderful gift...from a wonderful husband...looks he definitely does love you...not that there was any doubt. Do tell us how you are progressing with it. I could see lots of delightful results dancing around in my head.

I don't think 'wavering a bit' will help me. I've bought something for this upcoming Christmas about three times now. Don't think DH will fall for it again....grin.

Have fun!

Enjoy the cutter. I do like mine even though I don't use it as often as I thought I would. So far the tumbler has been the one die I have been using the most. Did cut out some of the critters but haven't used them yet. Have a great day! Hugs, Marie
