And probably happy birthday to me as well! Some of you may have guessed that this was the present that Christopher bought for me at the quilt show.
I really didn't have any plans to buy one of these, lovely though they are, as they seemed rather expensive. But then we saw it being demonstrated and I wavered a bit; then Christopher offered to buy it and suddenly I could see how useful it would be!
As well as the die that came with it - two and a half inch half square triangles, two and a half inch square and four and a half inch square - I bought a flower die. And today I've made a pile of pinwheel blocks which went together beautifully, far more accurately than my usual blocks.
So, the question is, what other dies should I start saving up for? Have you got a Go cutter? What would you recommend?

I hope you enjoy your GO. I don't use mine as I am more into prim style applique. It was free so I took the opprotunity to try it. Many people are very happy using it and like most any of the dies for pieced blocks.
What a wonderful gift, Amanda. You must be thrilled!
How about circles. Please go to this link and look at the lovely cushion Lisa made: http://www.aspoonfulofsugardesigns.com/
Enjoy your new toy (((o:
How exciting! I do enjoy my GO, though I've not used it much recently. My favorite die so far is the small tumbler. I also use the 6.5 inch square quite a bit, though usually with crumb or string blocks to square them up quickly.
I love the tumbler die. I have the larger one and would love to get the smaller one too. I must admit the applecore looks tempting too.
What a wonderful gift...from a wonderful husband...looks he definitely does love you...not that there was any doubt. Do tell us how you are progressing with it. I could see lots of delightful results dancing around in my head.
I don't think 'wavering a bit' will help me. I've bought something for this upcoming Christmas about three times now. Don't think DH will fall for it again....grin.
Have fun!
Billie
Enjoy the cutter. I do like mine even though I don't use it as often as I thought I would. So far the tumbler has been the one die I have been using the most. Did cut out some of the critters but haven't used them yet. Have a great day! Hugs, Marie
How lucky you are! Have fun with it.
Lucky quilter, enjoy your new toy and I must add I am a little bit jealous.
I got a Go Baby rencently for my birthday and I love the small tumbler and the apple core. I also have the hexagons and a few others and am hoping to get the Drunkard's Path next. Have fun with it.
Christopher is an absolute sweetheart! I can just imagine what you'll be creating now.
What a wonderful present. I've been wanting one, are you loving it.
