Brrr!

I don't think I can remember a day as cold as today has been. Up here in the Mendip Hills the temperature hasn't risen above -6C all day, although it was -3C when we went down to Wells to have some lunch and do some shopping. It's been foggy all day and the trees haven't lost the tiniest bit of the heaviest frost I've seen in a long time.
That's not snow on the trees, it's frost. It's nearly 4.30 now and just about dark enough to close the curtains and shut it all out.

I'm now snuggling up with a cup of peppermint tea and a gluten-free chocolate bourbon in our warm lounge to watch the latest episode of Miranda, which I downloaded from BBC iPlayer.

I hope you're managing to keep warm if it's as cold where you are.

Oh my goodness. I'm sure I wouldn't have been brave enough to venture out if it had been that cold here. I'm glad you are able to be inside and snuggled up. I hope it passes soon.

That does look cold. We have the same thing here, about 30 degrees below normal today! Only 28 out. But so sunny. Your frost looks beautiful. I watched a bit of Miranda on you tube, so funny!

Your tree photos are so beautiful! Frost is, if you are warm enough...We've been watching all the news about Britain's snow troubles and it is unbelieveable.
Here we are having trouble with snow and ice and very low temperatures, but not nearly as bad as other parts of the country. The trouble with us all is that we are just not set up for it!
Anyhow, supposed to thaw soon-ready for that!!

Those trees are just beautiful. It is very cold here, too. We've had some snow and it hasn't been warm enough for it to all melt away. I love the hexagon Christmas tree skirt. Great idea!

I sure wish I could send you some of our warmth, Amanda. I do love snow and your photos are beautiful, but I don't much care for the freezing cold.

Oh my! My uncle has been reporting on the weather in Margate.

It's been cold here too. I thought I had moved south! Sheesh.

Burrr.... We are having a cold snap too, but a sissy one compared to yours. Your pictures are beautiful, and the blue background gives them a dreamy quality. They would be pretty framed and matted with that same blue.

I hope the snow has stopped in England. The photos look beautiful.
