Euro Bee

I've just finished this little basket applique block for the August recipient in our Euro Bee. It was fun to go out into the garden and draw some pansies (I do hope they look a little like pansies!)

It's my month in September, so I need to get some ideas together for a block. I think I'll go for a patchwork block, as we've done quite a bit of applique and some paper piecing. Any suggestions for a good block to send out to people I don't know, which will work really well together once I get them back?

Great block. I love the pansies.

How about a Log Cabin or Jacob's Ladder block, they would look quite good scrappy. My advise would be to look through the Quilter's Cache site for inspiration.

Quite talented...they look like a freshly picked bouquet.

I am sure you will come up with some excellent idea!

the block looks good and they do remind me of pansies. For your block you could do a pieced basket and applique some flowers on to it.

I used to plant pansies in the spring when we lived in a somewhat cooler climate. You did a good job recreating them in fabric for the basket.
