Quilt for SIL

This lap quilt was made for my sister-in-law, who celebrated her birthday last week. I've used Kathy's Blocks from Gwen Marstons book Liberated Quilting II, and used the offcuts to make the borders at either end. I've quilted it with a loopy up and down meander in the blocks and figures of eight in the sashings. I bought fabric for the sashing and a flannel for the backing, but the rest was from my stash.

It's beautiful, and your quilting looks great. Your SIL is very lucky.
The colors are really pretty, too.

Looks so cool and inviting to just sit on for a picnic. Your loops look so smooth and perfect.

Have a great week.

I gave my SIL a quilt last week. First one. The color combo in your quilt is refreshing.

Your quilting looks so professional. All that practice has surely paid off. That pattern is so fun, I knew that Gwen Marston had another book out, but I hadn't seen anything from it yet. Maybe I'll have to see if I can find a copy now that I've seen your quilt. Your SIL is lucky to have such a thoughtful gift.

It is very lovely. It looks fresh and cool (interesting description for a quilt I guess). I imagine she will love it; I would.

What a beautiful quilt. The fabrics in it are really lovely. I like the way the fabrics choices make the blocks look different. And the quilting that you have done on it looks just perfect. It looks like you and your new sewing machine are getting along perfectly!
