Well, I don't think I'm going to have much sewing to post about for the next week or so. I packed up all my fabric and craft supplies yesterday, though I did leave the sewing machine out and the bits of fabric I've cut out for the corner squares in my springtime quilt. I would really like to get these stitched together and then put all the bits together for this quilt before we move, and then to get it sandwiched and basted. Then I'll have some hand quilting to be getting on with in the evenings. I'm going to miss the last two classes of my course, but would like to be able to email the finished quilt to the class teacher before the last session.
I have finished three very quick projects though. I made some small table runners for the ladies who have been cleaning my house for the last four years, and one for my hairdresser. They're very simple, just charm squares stitched together and quilted, but I hope they like them. I just didn't have time to do anything more complicated.
I imagine that my next sewing projects will be to make curtains for our new home - though we might cheat and buy blinds for some of the rooms. I don't know how to make anything very fancy or tailored, but can manage basic curtains with ruffle tape or tab tops.
Well, my week is likely to be pretty hectic, and I hope that your week is good fun.

I sure don't envy you having to pack and move! We moved here to my mama's house in 2006 and since it is smaller then the house we were renting I had tons of stuff to get rid of! It was really a lot of work! My Mama left me the house when she died. At least I don't ever have to move again! Good luck with the move!
Have a Blessed Day,
Diane
Despite the move - you are still finding time to sew - love the table runners. Sometimes simpler is much more satisfying.
I love the springy look to your blog, Amanda. Everybody will love those gorgeous sewing projects you've made for them.
How exciting Amanda and I am sure Miss Rosie cat will be fine with the move, we found it easier to have Master Henry in the cattery until all was unpacked and sorted, no chance of him getting re packed in to a box that way. I can't wait to see some photos of the new house. Oh and how far is Somerset from where you are now????
I love your tablerunners, and I'm sure that the recipients will treasure them. I like charm squares a lot, they are simple but cozy. I'm just amazed at how much you are able to do. I blew them up and the quilting looks really nice. Great job.
Your new look blog looks fabulous!
All the best for your move!
I love your tablerunners, nice, easy and effective looking! Glad you have been able to use the charm pack *grin*.
